Rahu in Punarvasu Pada 4th from 6th December 2018 to 22nd March 2019

Punarvasu means light again. This is a Nakshatra which is given to failure in the primary trial but takes ones to dizzy heights when one does not lose hope and continues to keep trying – time and again.

The name Punarvasu also means the becoming wealthy again or good again. Aditi is the Mother Goddess and the deity of this Nakshatra. The name means “boundless, entire” or “freedom, security”. So, one without boundaries is one of the meanings of this Nakshatra. This Nakshatra allows and harbours a huge amount of potential to be explored and the talent of the person to be expressed. However, it is a passive force that requires much assistance or impetus from outside for the person to set things into motion. Being security oriented, the natives of this Nakshatra always land on their feet. No matter how steep the fall or how dangerous the landing. As Mother Aditi is said to travel the Universe with her sons the Adityas, this Nakshatra is very much related to travel.

Rahu is the outlet of Karma. That is, it is through the representations of Rahu be it the karaka or the representations as respect to the house Rahu gets posited in, the person works out his karmic debts. Rahu attracts a person into the world of Maya or make believe and then suddenly it all vanishes as the dross from gold leaving behind a longing and pain. Experiencing this pain over a long period and then finally realizing the futility of it all, a person matures and understands the effervescent state of this world. Rahu acts as a spiritual catalyst and not only cleanse us of our karmic debts but also makes us realise that there is nothing permanent in this world and all that we see around us is illusionary.

The 4th Pada of Punarvasu is a Vargottama Navamsha and is also Pushkar Navamsha making it a very strong position for any planet to be in. In short, any planet placed in this pada gets to be nourished and its qualities are enhanced greatly.

As Rahu is one of the expansive planets, it takes a larger than life hue in this Nakshatra. As placed in the 4th house of natural Zodiac, it would show some strong relationship with mother and mother like qualities. Rahu in this part of the Nakshatra would be strong and yet lose some of its maleficence as it is in a watery sign. It does much harm in an airy or fiery sign. It would definitely teach the last part of lessons ordained for it in the sign of Cancer, albeit in a peaceful and gentle manner.

ARIES

For the Aries Lagna, as Rahu moves in the Vargottama position in the 4th House, it is likely to give you a contact with foreign masses. An education as relates to a foreign subject or different from your usual style will be welcomed and will help you gain your confidence later.

You need to be careful not to get into any sort of scuffles with your mother and do pranayama regularly to maintain a good pair of lungs.

For the Taurus Lagna, as Rahu moves in the Vargottama position in the 3rd House, air travels and a spurt and increase in your social activities.

Rahu in the Nakshatra of Punarvasu tells us that we are in the last leg of completing these lessons of morals and ethics for this cycle. Monetary matters will take importance and you may face situations where your financial and professional decisions will be questioned by your family. It is suggested that you think it rationally and keep emotions aside.
